The Gentex Low Profile Particulate Respirator (LPPR) is a half-mask respirator designed to provide protection against a wide range of oil and non-oil based particulate contaminants encountered by door gunners and other rear aircrew during training and in operational environments.
Leveraging the technology and design of Gentex’s line of world-leading oxygen masks and respiratory systems, the Particulate Respirator offers 99.97% filtration efficiency against airborne particulates including lead, asbestos, lubricant mist, and explosive gunfire residue.
The low-profile design offers protection without interfering with operator’s tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP) and seamlessly interfaces with weapon systems for optimal effectiveness.
The respirator mounts to standard bayonet receivers of the ALPHA® 900 and replaces the boom microphone assembly with a fully encapsulated mask microphone, offering greater communications clarity by reducing wind noise. It Interfaces with all major aircraft intercom systems and portable radios.
“An N95 FFR is a type of respirator which removes particles from the air that are breathed through it. These respirators filter out at least 95% of very small (0.3 micron) particles. N95 FFRs are capable of filtering out all types of particles, including bacteria and viruses.”
Half-mask Special Operations Tactical Respirator (SOTR) is designed to provide protection against a wide range of oil- and non-oil-based particulate contaminants.
The Low Profile Particulate Respirator (LPPR) fits securely and comfortably underneath the helmet with headband remaining secured even during donning and doffing of helmets.
Offers at least 99.97% filtration efficiency against airborne particulates including lead, asbestos, lubricant mist, and explosive gunfire residue. Meets the NIOSH requirements for inhalation and exhalation breathing resistance, P100 filtration and exhaust valve leakage specifications for a half mask particulate respirator. Each LPPR filter is tested for initial penetration and resistance. Testing procedure and design requirement matches NIOSH 42 CFR Subpart K section 84 181.
Includes a fully encapsulated mask microphone which improves communications clarity by reducing the wind noise associated with a standard boom microphone Can be configured for all major aircraft intercom systems and portable radios.
Great for use on live fire ranges, mechanical breaching, explosive breaching, thermal breaching, air mounted operations, and heliborne operations; particularly First Responder and Medivac Operations. Safe protection for any activity where irritating or harmful particles may be present in the air. The LPPR has been optimized for airborne operations during training and in operational environments. It is designed for quick one-handed filter change, has easy to adjust suspension straps, specific helmet interfaces for fixed and rotary wing aircraft, and the sizing is one size fits most.
Shelf Life for LPPR Mask – Per Gentex Test Report QTR G055-1000-Q02, Section 3.2 – Shelf Life is minimum of one year when stored at 68ºF +/- 3.5ºF (20ºC +/- 2ºC).
Shelf Life for Filter – Per Gentex Test Report QTR G055-1000-Q02, Section 3.2 – Shelf Life is minimum of one year when stored at 68ºF +/- 3.5ºF (20ºC +/- 2ºC).
