The ALPHA Eagle Volume Control Hole Plug is the OEM-specification blanking plug for the ALPHA Eagle Flight Helmet ear capsule assembly. It is installed in the volume control port of helmets configured without an inline volume control downlead, sealing the opening to prevent debris and contaminant ingress and maintain the acoustic integrity of the ear capsule.
An unsealed volume control port creates an acoustic leak path in the ear cup assembly — reducing the effectiveness of the passive attenuation the ear cup is designed to provide. This plug closes that path, restoring the ear cup to its designed specification.
A functionally important maintenance component, stocked by Pro Flight Gear for ALSE technicians and maintenance personnel supporting the ALPHA Eagle system. Should be inspected and replaced if damaged, missing, or when the ear cup assembly is rebuilt.
