The PFG Bluetooth Link aviation headset adapter transforms any non-Bluetooth single-plug aviation headset into a Bluetooth 5.0-capable system without replacing the headset. Configured for helicopter and military aircraft single-plug intercoms, it connects inline between your headset and the aircraft panel. For general aviation dual-plug fixed-wing aircraft, see the PFG Bluetooth Link – GA.
Bluetooth 5.0 allows simultaneous connection to two devices at once — pair your phone and a music source independently, then manage them from the cockpit. An advanced sound processing chip delivers clear audio reproduction through your existing headset speakers. A versatile 1/8″ (3.5mm) AUX jack and included cable extend connectivity to iPads, GPS units, MP3 players, and other audio sources.
Three selectable audio priority modes give you direct control over how Bluetooth and AUX interact with intercom transmissions: AUTO mutes Bluetooth and AUX during transmissions and resumes playback after; MIX keeps Bluetooth and AUX playing alongside transmissions; and OFF mutes Bluetooth and AUX entirely, passing only intercom audio. Dual independent volume controls allow separate level adjustment for each speaker, and Bluetooth track selection is accessible from the adapter itself.
At 4.95 ounces (140 grams), the adapter adds minimal weight to any cockpit setup. Two AA batteries deliver 20–25 hours of runtime, and a USB-C external power input (5.0V 500mA) allows operation from a power bank for extended missions. When powered off, battery draw is zero. The Kevlar-reinforced TPE cabling resists external signal interference and withstands the physical demands of regular cockpit use. Battery level can be checked directly from your phone on most compatible models, and auto shut-off prevents unnecessary drain when the adapter is not in use.
